Photo wall and photo booth
Let guests add photos from their phones, watch them appear on the projector, and capture branded photo-booth shots.
For: Couples and guests
Guests can share photos straight from their phone — no app to install, no account to create. The photos flow onto a live wall on the projector so everyone in the room can enjoy them in real time.
How guests add photos
Every guest gets to the photo wall through your wedding's guest link — the same link you share on your invitations or by QR code at the venue.
Once they open the page on their phone, they'll see a camera or upload button. The process is three steps:
- Tap the upload button on the guest page.
- Choose a photo from their camera roll, or take one right then.
- Tap Send — the photo goes up within a few seconds.
Guests do not need a NextSet account. Any phone, tablet, or laptop with a browser works — iPhone, Android, or anything else. There is nothing to download.
What the photo wall looks like
On the projector, photos appear in a tiled grid that refreshes automatically. Each new upload joins the wall without anyone touching the display. Guests get an instant thrill of seeing their shot on the big screen.
Your venue's team does not need to manage the feed — it runs on its own throughout the reception.
Photo-booth frames
If you want every photo to carry your wedding's branding, you can set a custom frame overlay. When a frame is active, the guest's phone composites the frame onto the photo before it uploads — so the projector version always shows the framed, branded shot, while the clean original goes into your couple's album as well.
Your wedding planner or your own dashboard is where you upload the frame image. A transparent PNG works best (the design sits on top of the photo). Once it's uploaded, every guest photo automatically gets the frame applied — no guest action required.
How many photos can guests upload?
The number of photos your wedding can hold depends on your plan:
| Plan | Photo limit |
|---|---|
| Hosting only ($79/mo) | 100 photos |
| 10-Year Echo ($299 one-time) | 5,000 photos |
| 50-Year Echo ($1,499 one-time) | 25,000 photos |
For most weddings on the base hosting plan, 100 photos is plenty for a reception. If you expect a large crowd or want to preserve every moment, one of the Echo tiers gives you significantly more room.
If guests try to upload after the limit is reached, the upload will be declined. You will see a notice in your dashboard if the cap is close.
Downloading your photo album
After the wedding, you can export all guest photos as a ZIP file for $19 CAD (one-time). Head to your wedding dashboard, find the Export photos option, and complete the short checkout. NextSet prepares the archive in the background and emails you a download link when it's ready.
Common problems
Photos are not appearing on the screen yet. There is a short delay — usually just a few seconds — while the photo uploads and the wall refreshes. Ask guests to wait a moment. If a photo still does not appear after 30 seconds, the guest should check their internet connection and try again.
A guest says they can't upload photos. Make sure they are opening your wedding's guest link (the one on your invitations or QR code), not just visiting nextset.ca directly. The upload button only appears on your event's guest page.
The photo-booth frame is not showing up on photos. The frame is only applied if your couple's dashboard has a frame image uploaded. Check that a PNG frame is active in your wedding settings. Guests do not need to do anything differently — the compositing happens automatically once the frame is set.
Can guests use any device? Yes. Any phone, tablet, or computer with a modern browser works. Guests do not need to install an app or sign in to NextSet. iPhones, Android phones, and desktop browsers are all supported.
The wedding cap has been reached and guests can't upload more. You have reached the photo limit for your current plan. Upgrading to a 10-Year Echo or 50-Year Echo adds thousands more slots. Visit your wedding dashboard to see your current usage and choose the right tier for your event.
