Free fan account

When you create an account on nextset.ca, you start as a fan. No card required.

With a free fan account you can:

  • Browse and follow events, venues, and bands
  • Buy tickets to shows
  • Check in at events and earn Scene Credits (NEXT tokens)
  • Redeem Scene Credits for drinks, merch, and other perks at participating venues
  • Join live audience interactions during shows (polls, Q&A)
  • Manage your tickets and view your event history from your dashboard

The free trial

New fans get a 24-hour free trial from the moment they sign up. During that window you have full access to the fan dashboard — all sections, all features. After 24 hours, your dashboard asks you to subscribe to keep going.

You are not charged during the trial. No payment details are collected unless you choose to subscribe.

Fan Pro

Fan Pro is a paid subscription that gives you everything in a free account plus a few key extras.

Create and run your own events

Fan Pro lets you create private events — birthday parties, house shows, rehearsal sessions, whatever you need. You get the same tools venue owners use: a timed rundown, a projector display, and a backstage view. Invite guests, run the show from your phone, and put a professional countdown on any screen in the room.

Two active devices

Fan Pro keeps you signed in on up to two devices at the same time — your phone and a laptop, for example. Devices that have not been active for about 30 days free up automatically, so you never get permanently locked out just because you switched phones.

How to subscribe

  1. Go to your fan dashboard and open Billing, or visit nextset.ca/pricing.
  2. Choose a monthly or annual Fan Pro plan.
  3. Complete checkout — your upgrade is instant.

Your dashboard switches to Fan Pro mode as soon as payment is confirmed.

Common problems

I signed up and was immediately sent to a pricing page. The 24-hour trial starts the moment your account is created. If some time passed before you explored the dashboard, the trial may already have ended. Subscribe from the pricing page to restore access.

I tried to subscribe but got a message saying I already have this plan. This happens when a previous subscription is still active on your account — even if you thought it had lapsed. Check Billing in your dashboard; if there is an active subscription listed there, you are already on Fan Pro and do not need to subscribe again. If you need help, contact support.

I can only use one device at a time. Fan Pro allows two active devices simultaneously. If you are hitting the limit, open Account → Devices in your dashboard to see which sessions are active. You can revoke a device you no longer use to free up a slot straight away.

My Scene Credits do not show the Fan Pro bonus. The bonus applies to credits earned after your subscription activates. Credits already in your balance were earned at the standard rate and will not be retroactively adjusted.
